The job description is not a history of what you did at that job. The job description is a marketing tool to support the objective. So, for example, I just worked with the executive director of a small non-governmental organization and 80% of her job was fundraising and 20% was project programming and evaluation. She loved the 20% of her job; she hated the 80%. We rewrote her job description where we put, first thing - programming, project evaluation, third thing - one little line, fundraising, comma, direct mail campaign, comma, dot-dot-dot. It was the last thing we put in the job description and so that's what you want to do. You want to write what you did at that job to support your objective. It is not a history of what your life was. It is a tool to describe what you want to do in the next two years.
